Made mistakes while filing ITR  ? you are allowed to revise the information you entered with out any late fee till december 31st.

The last date to file a revised return for the FY 2022-23 (AY 2023-24) is December 31, 2023, for ITR filed for FY 2022-23 (AY 2023-24).


Every citizen who has filed his/her ITR is allowed to revise ITR filing under Section 139(5) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, to provide correct information to the income – tax department. Even those who file belated ITR, i.e., ITR – filed after the expiry of the deadline, are  alsoallowed to file a revised return.

There is no limit to revise your itr filing but its manditory to submit the first itr filing you did ,every time you do the revised submission.

Try to provide accurate information ,if the IT department finds any wrong information ,you can be imprisioned .
